Overview

Intro

Understand what MkBoard is and how it brings scripts, storyboards, assets, and video drafts into one workflow.

What MkBoard Is

MkBoard is an AI storyboard workspace for video creators, course authors, ad teams, and animation makers. It turns an idea or script into an editable storyboard structure, then keeps every shot connected to references, characters, scenes, generated outputs, and video drafts.

It is not only a script editor, and it is not a one-prompt video generator. MkBoard focuses on the production layer between planning and generation: storyboard breakdown, shot iteration, asset management, and repeatable project context.

Core Workflow

  1. Add a script, story request, course draft, or product-ad brief.
  2. Let a local Agent split it into shots, visual notes, dialogue, asset needs, and execution notes.
  3. Refine shot order, framing, pacing, and scene details in the storyboard table.
  4. Attach reference images, character images, scene assets, and generation results.
  5. Generate a previewable video draft with HyperFrames, then keep iterating.

Who It Is For

  • Short-form creators who need shootable storyboards from narration, plots, or hooks.
  • Course authors who need to split long scripts into A-roll, B-roll, and support visuals.
  • Product and ad teams that iterate on selling points, shot lists, and asset versions.
  • Animation and AI video creators who want stable characters, scenes, shots, and pacing before generation.

Next Step

If your local environment is not ready yet, start with installation. MkBoard needs the desktop app, a local Agent, Node.js 22+, FFmpeg, and HyperFrames for the full local storyboard and video-draft workflow.
